The Guerrilla Girls and My Adobe Illustrator Collage

For my collage, I decided to make a composition that shows all of the RAA's animal/fruit/object personas and I gave each of the little sketches a color on photoshop and then I added a picture of moore in the background because the RAA is an exclusive non-franchised group that could only and will only ever be found at Moore College of Art and Design.

So, I decided to research the idea of art collectives and the interaction between a group of people who come together through common ground and establish a friendship. These sorts of groups have their own language, jokes, personalities, ideas, and share alot of the same views.

Werewolf

Ok so for this week's blog post, I thought I'd do a little segment on myself in the RAA. Each member of the RAA has an animal or organic nickname. For example, I'm werewolf and because of this I have werewolf-life behavior. I do everything at night and am very illactive by day. I also apparently respond to the phases of the moon? SO, I made my werewolf character in illustrator :

NOTE: The original sketch changed a bit. I gave her a new outfit and longer hair and changed her face a bit.

The RAA's Secret Sign Language

All members of the RAA must learn the secret sign language. If you are an italian member of the RAA, you would surely enjoy this. I am not italian, but this is probably my favorite part of our little cult/society. Its a language only we could ever understand. The very first word every RAA member must learn, was created by non-other than Queen Marah herself...

Th R.A.A. Group

Rules and Regulations of our society include the following:

*RAA members must use RAA sign language.

*Talk with a lisp when telling a secret.

*Keep your mustaches and/or beards to yourselves.

*RAA members must be dramatic when pushing buttons (ex: the elevator buttons).

*All members must have a specific animal, vegetable, mineral or other name as form of ID.

*When having a random abusive moment, it must be done in a friendly "run-by" slapping manner with self-produced 2D artwork. You are not permitted to use anyone else's artwork!

*WE DO NOT DO LAWNDAIRY, we lick clean.

*All RAA members must row their boats in reverse

*Kendall is mascot and Father

* Marah is mother

*The rest of RAA's Amembers are Marah and Kendall's children

10 Events (Fri. Sept 5th, 2008)

9:14 am - I'm up and out of bed

9: 25 am - I brush my hair and teeth

9: 30 am - I get dressed for school

10:15 am - I leave the house for the train station to go to Moore

11:10 am - Me, Marah, Kit and Elisha go to Mary Mcfadden and Alice Neel Galleries

12:15 pm - The Mcdonalds Adventure (my first time having a big mac in 3 years!)

2:00 pm - Life Drawing Class with Pia Dienhardt <3

6:16 - I took the R2 local to Warminster train home

7:25 pm - High School Football Game between Central Bucks South (<3)>

10:25 pm - Me and my old marching band friends went to IHOP to finish off the night

Bez's Life @ Moore

My experience here at Moore is going very well so far. I like a large majority of my classes which is good. I like my professors and the staff here so far. i only wish the school was a little cheaper, lol. Other than that, I'm quite happy with how things are going even though I'm now busy beyond belief. Hopefully, things will continue to become better and better! Well, I wish all my fellow freshies (freshman) goodluck!
