The Guerrilla Girls and My Adobe Illustrator Collage

For my collage, I decided to make a composition that shows all of the RAA's animal/fruit/object personas and I gave each of the little sketches a color on photoshop and then I added a picture of moore in the background because the RAA is an exclusive non-franchised group that could only and will only ever be found at Moore College of Art and Design.

So, I decided to research the idea of art collectives and the interaction between a group of people who come together through common ground and establish a friendship. These sorts of groups have their own language, jokes, personalities, ideas, and share alot of the same views.

Werewolf

Ok so for this week's blog post, I thought I'd do a little segment on myself in the RAA. Each member of the RAA has an animal or organic nickname. For example, I'm werewolf and because of this I have werewolf-life behavior. I do everything at night and am very illactive by day. I also apparently respond to the phases of the moon? SO, I made my werewolf character in illustrator :

NOTE: The original sketch changed a bit. I gave her a new outfit and longer hair and changed her face a bit.

The RAA's Secret Sign Language

All members of the RAA must learn the secret sign language. If you are an italian member of the RAA, you would surely enjoy this. I am not italian, but this is probably my favorite part of our little cult/society. Its a language only we could ever understand. The very first word every RAA member must learn, was created by non-other than Queen Marah herself...
